Last May 3, i went to my friend's workplace. Its this unique restaurant in Maginhawa street, which is known for it's feel-good cuisine. The place is VERY cool and artsy, uniquely decorated, nice ambience, friendly staff.

- Of all the washrooms i've been in, this has got to be the most Artsy. Consistent with the feel of the whole restaurant, the washroom has a lot of installation art and other fixtures. Everything's nice and creative; the only downside is, this washroom is smaller than most.

Tonkatsu - Italianni's Lucky Chinatown Mall

Binondo, Manila

Last April 2, we had an emergency company meetup at Lucky Chinatown Mall. The restaurant was equally divided into 2 brands: Tonkatsu and Italianni's. My officemates surmise that the owner of those two franchises for this branch were one and the same, hence the merged spot.

- This washroom is as small as most starbucks coffee washrooms, but it's quite clean, save for a few water puddles here and there. Equipment is quite modern. A little bathroom freshener wouldn't hurt.

Little Tokyo: Seryna

Pasong Tamo, Makati

Last March 7, we had a company meetup, two of our artists arrived in manila. Alexis (from iloilo) and Alben (from davao). The day was spent eating at Viking's Mall of Asia, Ice Skating and dinner at Little Tokyo in Makati. Though i've eaten at around half of the restaurants there, i haven't tried the restaurant outside named Seryna( y'know, that resto where those "working girls" hang out near to). It was a really nice resto with decent Japanese food, and lots of Japanese customers same as the other restos.

- This is a very small, compact washroom. The Colors are warm, very homely and hotel-like. Toilet cover's broken though. Urinals are located beside the toilet. I think this one has reading material, but i can't remember exactly. Could use a little more lighting though, i feel like the room's a bit too dark. Japanese style sliding door included.

Capitol GreenStreet

Capitol Hills, Quezon City

Last February, we sat as Guest Jurors for Far Eastern University IARFA's 2nd Semester Thesis Defense Class. We've done it years prior and were able to do it again on the 1st Semester of School year 2013-2014.

After the rather quick event, we headed to Dencio's Capitol Hills for some RnR with drinks. The restaurant was located high above a commercial building called Capitol GreenStreet. The washrooms are located outside the restaurants.

- This washroom has a nice clean aura to it, everything is working properly, everything is white, tissue supply is good and it even has nice music playing. All it needs more is reading material inside the cubicles and you're good to go for a nice number 2 session.

The Diamond Hotel

Roxas Boulevard, Manila

A few days ago, we celebrated my Grandmother's 80th Birthday by staying in the 21st floor Executive Suite of The Diamond Hotel along Manila Bay. It was by far the most high-class hotel i've ever been to:

- This is by far, the BEST bathroom/toilet i've come across. Ambience is topnotch, amenities complete, awesome-smelling bathroom products. Wide open space, plenty of room. It was as big as my room here at home. Flushing was kind of surprising, because it was very silent; my usual experience with flushing is it makes some sort of noise as the water rushes inwards. This one doesn't. maybe it's the elevation of the place, i don't know. All i know is, this place is PERFECT.

- This room is quite spacious, just the right amount of square meters(or tiles) that allows proper movement. Lighting is good, wall colors are very warm and homely.

Bonifacio High Street Public Toilets

Fort Bonifacio, Taguig(Makati?)

I've had a few emergency close calls in Fort Bonifacio. Good thing i can always rely on the Public Toilets in High Street, my first encounter with a really classy toilet cubicle (before there were Greenbelt and Robinson's Magnolia modern toilets)

- This room is VERY spacious, with enough room for changing clothes if you're jogging near the area. Lighting is so-so, when i first tried it i was very impressed, but looking at it now, it just reminds me of hospital toilets- plain and clinical.

- This room is quite small and busy-looking. Lighting is nice and they really amped up their creativity on the reading material in this room. Lots of articles, clippings, posters of the restaurant and its events. Nice mondrian layout to the walls. You'll never feel bored while dumping or peeing in this room :)
